Fit for what?
Rannoch - January 13, 2010

Lots of people talk about wanting to get fit when what they really mean is they want to get well. Simple human functions like moving pain free, being able to raise your pulse without keeling over, waking up refreshed after a decent night sleep, none of these things are about being fit. They are products of health.
So before you engage in your next marathon or whatever the challenge might be, get the basics in order. The simple fact is, hundreds of people will run themselves into the ground over the coming months under the delusion that they are getting fit when in fact they are undermining their immune systems, stifling their recovery and compromising their health.
Get the check list sorted out first. Sleep, diet, recovery (we are talking absolute basics here). Without these in order you will simply compound a lifestyle that is not sustainable. Without this, consistency and intensity simply aren’t an option. And consistency and intensity are the real corner stones of fitness.
Today’s 100
5 x Squat (for me it’s with 2x 16 KBs)
5 x Wide Grip pull Up
Both for 5 sets followed by 20 / 15 / 10 / 5 push ups ( 20lb weighted vest for me)
Simple!
